JOHN SETLICH
John R. Setlich is a seasoned trial attorney with more than 21 years of experience representing individuals and businesses throughout Southern California. At the Law Offices of John R. Setlich, the practice focuses on civil litigation, family law, criminal defense, and unlawful detainers, providing clients with strategic, results-driven representation across multiple areas of law.
Located in Chino Hills, California, the Law Offices of John R. Setlich proudly serve clients throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, and Riverside Counties. Mr. Setlich offers extensive jury trial experience and is licensed to practice before five federal district courts, ensuring strong advocacy at both the state and federal levels.
Mr. Setlich is a graduate of Damien High School in La Verne, California, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pitzer College, where he graduated with honors and received the Ford Foundation Scholarship. He later obtained both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of La Verne, combining legal knowledge with business insight to deliver practical and effective legal solutions.
Zohaila Diaz

With over five years at the firm, Zohaila Diaz serves as a Paralegal and Office Manager, bringing both experience and compassion to family law, civil, and criminal matters. Starting in an entry-level administrative role, Zohaila worked diligently to grow within the firm through hands-on experience and close mentorship from the firm’s attorney and senior paralegals.
Currently pursuing a degree in Legal Studies, and is working toward becoming a Certified Paralegal through Mt. San Antonio College’s Paralegal Program and the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), both recognized and respected by the American Bar Association.
Zohaila works primarily with family law cases, including custody/visitation, child support, divorce proceedings, and default judgments, and also assists with civil and criminal procedures. Understanding that legal matters can be stressful and deeply personal, she is committed to providing organized, reliable support while helping clients feel informed and supported throughout the process
Andrew Chapin

Andrew Chapin is a Legal Assistant with the firm, where he supports a wide range of civil matters as well as select family law cases. He is known for his strong attention to detail, clear client communication, and commitment to producing high-quality work product. Andrew enjoys working directly with clients and helping guide them through the legal process with professionalism and care.
Originally from Corona, California, Andrew graduated from Esperanza High School in Anaheim in 2016. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Arizona in 2020, where he also served as the Community Service Chairman for his fraternity. Andrew is currently enrolled at Western State College of Law, where he is also working toward a Business Law Certification. His academic background in finance, combined with his legal training and hands-on case management experience, allows him to bring a well-rounded and client-focused perspective to his role
Jordan Garcia

Jordan Garcia is a law clerk with the Law Offices of John R. Setlich, where he focuses primarily on civil litigation with an emphasis on foreclosure defense and wrongful foreclosure matters. He assists in representing homeowners and borrowers in complex disputes involving mortgage servicing, loan origination, and California’s Homeowner Bill of Rights, and has experience working on cases involving lender liability, trustee sale irregularities, and related real estate litigation.
Jordan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with an emphasis in Law and Society from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law, where he distinguished himself academically and professionally. During law school, Jordan served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law, Business & Ethics, overseeing the publication of scholarly legal articles and managing the editorial staff. He also served as a Teaching Assistant to the Dean, where he assisted with academic instruction and supported the administration of the law school’s academic programs.
In addition to his civil litigation work, Jordan has substantial experience assisting with complex family law matters, including cases involving child custody, support, property division, and post-judgment disputes. His broad experience across both civil and family law allows him to approach legal issues with a comprehensive and strategic perspective.
Jordan is known for his meticulous attention to detail, strong legal research and writing skills, and ability to manage complex case files involving extensive records and procedural requirements. He regularly assists with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda, and is committed to ensuring that every matter is handled with precision and thorough preparation.
